Mahindra University Becomes First Private Institution in Telangana to Host Bajaj BEST Centre

Mahindra University Partners with Bajaj Auto to Establish Cutting-Edge Skill Development Centre

Hyderabad/New Delhi, 26 November 2025: Mahindra University has announced a strategic partnership with Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) to set up a state-of-the-art Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Centre on its campus. Supported by Bajaj Auto’s flagship CSR initiative, the BEST Centre will focus on equipping engineering students with industry-ready competencies across two key verticals:

  • Advanced Manufacturing (Industry 4.0 & IIoT)

  • Firmware Development

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, Mahindra University, and Mr. Sudhakar Gudipati, Vice President – CSR, Bajaj Auto Ltd., along with senior faculty and representatives from Bajaj Auto.

Bajaj Auto to Develop Industry-Aligned Skill Centre

Under the collaboration, Bajaj Auto will lead the development of the BEST Centre, including:

  • Designing an industry-relevant curriculum tailored by expert engineers

  • Sponsoring equipment and infrastructure for both technology verticals

  • Ensuring the learning modules bridge academic gaps and reflect real-world industry needs

This effort underscores Bajaj Auto’s commitment to strengthening India’s engineering education and empowering youth with future-ready skills.

University Leadership Highlights Importance of Practical, Future-Focused Learning

Speaking on the partnership, Dr. Yajulu Medury emphasised the university’s goal of aligning academic training with evolving technological demands:

“As industries evolve, our priority is to ensure students gain hands-on exposure to technologies shaping the future. Through the BEST Centre, we aim to enrich academic learning, support India’s journey as a global technology leader, and strengthen the national skill ecosystem.”

BEST Centre to Benefit Both MU Students and External Engineering Talent

Beyond Mahindra University’s own engineering students, the BEST Centre will also offer:

  • Short-term, internship-based skill programmes

  • Training for mobilised final-year engineering students from external institutions

  • Courses aligned directly with industry hiring requirements

This inclusive approach aims to expand the skill pipeline for core engineering industries.

Bajaj Auto Highlights Significance of FIRST BEST Centre in Telangana’s Private Sector

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Sudhakar Gudipati said:

“We are delighted to sign the first MoU in Telangana with Mahindra University to establish the BEST Centre. With a curriculum integrated into the regular B.Tech programme, students will graduate with industry-ready skills, enhancing their employability in core engineering sectors.”
