Satyanveshi Foundation is a Mumbai based NGO is always known for it’s work which they do for the betterment of the society. They have always backed initiatives which have had a huge impact on the welfare of the people. For last two years, they have been organizing an event named ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’ which is a unique mixture of music, dance and drama. Panchi is not just limited to entertainment, it has a bigger purpose which is to create awareness and inspire action on pressing social issues. The musical and dance show is dedicated to FAITH (Fight Against Thalassemia) with its tagline ‘Khushi hai toh vishwaas hai’. Khushi being the soul inspiration of ‘FAITH’.
More than 170 participants perform in a three-hour spectacle that highlights the hidden language of the soul music and dance. The most unique prospect of the event is that performers of different age groups participate in it and all of them share the stage together and make it a celebration without any boundaries or competition. The program features mixtures of Indian folk, classical styles, Bollywood hits and hip-hop numbers. This makes everyone in the audience entertained as audience have diverse choices.
At its core, ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’, is dedicated to FAITH (Fight Against Thalassemia). Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that affects countless families, requiring regular blood transfusions for survival. With the medium of ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’, Satyanveshi Foundation aims to spread awareness regarding this disorder and how much it could be harmful to any human being. Along with this, they are also spreading the message of regular blood donation. “Blood donation is much more than any social work: Life is a long journey from Human Being to Being Human, Regular Blood Donation is just a step to cover the distance. Every performer who performs in this event is completely dedicated towards prevention of Thalassemia. For them it is their contribution to ‘FAITH’ in fighting the battle against Thalassemia” says Tejas Shah from Satyenveshi Foundation the organizer of the event.
This October, Panchi is again planning to take another major step as they have announced two back-to-back shows in Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The 05th October show in Mumbai is being sponsored by the Thane Creek side Rotary Club and meal boxes are provided to all the participants by hospitality partner Tip-Top Plaza. After the Mumbai event Panchi would be spreading its wings to Ahmedabad on 12th of October. The Ahmedabad event being the first in Gujarat is being dedicated to kids and encourages more performances from children of younger age group.
There are no fees for any class, play group or any participant to be a part of Panchi. Each participant is thanked with a token of appreciation and every student, participant receives gifts, certificates and trophies. This makes the participants happy and gives them inspiration to participate in such events in the future. Every show is attended by 450 to 500 people, this includes parents, donors, blood bank representatives and esteemed invited guests, who not just enjoy the artistic performances but also understand the spirit of social responsibility, feels Rikha Upadhyay from ‘B The Social’ who helps with the social media marketing of the event.
Apart from this initiative, Satyanveshi Foundation and Panchi are also involved in other social initiatives like donation drives, clean-up efforts, book distribution campaigns, school exhibitions and meal-sharing programs for underprivileged children. All these activities showcases how much dedicated they are in spreading kindness everywhere, it also showcases about their vision and moto to spread awareness in the society.
The October 2025 edition of ‘Panchi – Pehli Udaan Astitva Ki…’ is being staged under the theme “Hum hain naye – andaaz kyun ho purana.” The idea is to challenge outdated myths about blood donation and encourage a new India, led by its youth, to embrace voluntary contribution for a Thalassemia Free nation, says Jay Shah from ‘95 Productionz’ who has been volunteering the art work from the beginning.
What makes Panchi unique from all other fundraising programs and awareness campaigns is that it believes in spreading the inclusivity in the society. Through the medium of performances it showcases that awareness can be spread in the society through the medium of art. All the performances are filled with full of energy and fun. ‘Panchi’ more than just a stage event has become as symbol of hope and unity.
Satyanveshi Foundation urges everyone to support this initiative and fight against thalassemia by donating blood regularly, contributing funds to expand awareness efforts or offering voluntary services. For being any part of ‘Panchi’ or for any voluntary support please contact: 9892727181.
